Tips:

For best results, use a SATA 3.0 data cable.

The PCI-E X1 or X16 slot should be version 2.0; PCI-E v1.0 limits speed. We recommend inserting the card directly into an X16 slot, which is usually version 2.0.

Motherboard BIOS setup: set the SATA mode to AHCI. On some PCIe 2.0 motherboards, high-speed transfer mode (Gen2) isn't enabled by default in the BIOS and must be turned on manually.
